KnitHope Scarf Guidelines

Scarf dimensions: Approximately 40-60" long by 5" wide.  It does not have to be exact, but please make it long enough to tie around one's neck.  If it is shorter and intended as a neck wrap, or for a child, please indicate that on your packaging.

Design/Color: We encourage you to be creative in your designs and  to mix yarns and colors!  Please just keep in mind that the end product may go to either a male or female recipient, so gender neutral patterns and colors are encouraged.

Yarn: You may use a variety of yarns; however, please refrain from using pure wool or mohair types if possible as they may be irritating to some recipients' skin.  Also, please be sure that your scarf is free from pet hair or cigarette smoke before donating.

Packaging: Please place your completed scarf in a zip top bag.  Feel free to include a note of encouragement or positive thoughts for your recipient.  You may also include your first name or, if appropriate, your group's name.

Donate: Bring your completed scarves to one of our collection sites!
